When Bob and Lisa attend Star Parties around the country they also bring with them The Yard Scope, a 36” Dobsonian telescope which is the world’s largest portable observatory dedicated to public education.
This telescope was purchased through donations from hundreds of individual people around the country, as well as the support from two very important companies in the astronomical community, TeleVue Optics and Software Bisque.
ASTRONOMY TO GO considers itself to be the caretakers of this special telescope and by bringing it around to the various Star Parties thousands of amateur astronomers across the country can view the splendors of the night sky through the amazing optics of this 36” mirror.
